Director – LLB & BA

Matt is a qualified lawyer who has worked with public and private companies and Indigenous corporations. He has considerable experience engaging with and providing advice to corporate and non-corporate entities.

Matt has a proven background in providing legal and non-legal assistance regarding Native Title, Indigenous governance and Indigenous affairs matters. He has extensive experience in negotiating and implementing Native Title agreements for resources and infrastructure projects and regularly participates in on-country meetings on behalf of his clients, achieving some market leading win/win outcomes.

Matt, a Noongar, has a deep understanding of the issues affecting Indigenous communities and is driven to support Indigenous people and their communities’ goals and aspirations.



Travis has two decades of experience in complex insurance and risk mitigation solutions. He spent the first 15 years of his career at HUB International, which is one of the largest insurance brokers in the world. Travis started his commercial insurance career focused on technology companies and publicly listed companies.

In 2003, he began specialising in mining and resources, building one of the largest resources client bases throughout North America in record time. Travis led a team that insured over 250 mining companies, whilst also managing a brokerage that addressed complex insurance issues for companies across the Legal, Accounting, Financial Institutions and Property / Development sectors.



Chris is the Managing Director of KBE Human Capital, a Director of Parkerville Children & Youth Care, the former Chairman of The Piddington Society, and Chairman of and consultant to a number of boutique commercial law firms and SMEs.

Prior to joining KBI and establishing KBE Human Capital, Chris was a Founding Director of specialist international recruitment companies Interpeople and Rigforce. Chris is retained by various Western Australian law firms to assist with business strategy and execution, and is engaged by professional services firms to mentor Partners and Senior Associates in building and maintaining their client networks. He is a former lawyer and registered migration agent, having completed his studies at the University of Western Australia, where he is now a guest lecturer.

In 2011, Chris became one of the youngest people in Western Australia to be recognised in the 40Under40 awards, being one of three people to receive two awards.
